OUR STAFF

Our teaching staff are committed to ensuring we deliver a quality educational program to your child in a safe and nurturing environment. All our teaching staff hold required teaching qualifications, as well as training in First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Management. We also employ a Book-Keeper and Operations Manager at the kinder.

Educational Leader

Sophie joined Watsonia North Preschool in 2017 as the 3YO Teacher and 4YO team Teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching, and since her time with us has grown and developed as a teacher, implementing many new elements into the learning environment. In 2023 Sophie's roles include the 4YO Bilby Teacher, 3YO Wombat team Teacher and Educational Leader.

Meg joined us in 2020 having completed her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. She continues with us in 2023 as the 4YO Koala Teacher, and 3YO Wombat team Teacher. We look forward to supporting Meg as she continues on in her teaching career.

Nominated Supervisor

Sharon joined us in 2011 and has vast experience and knowledge working with both the 3yo and 4yo groups. She holds a Certificate III in Children’s Services and a Certificate III in Inclusion Support. Sharon’s positivity and community spirit alongside her wealth of local knowledge makes her a valuable team member. Sharon is continuing in the Educator role in both 4YO Bilby and 3YO Wombat groups, as well as taking on the role of Nominated Supervisor.

4yo Educator

Jaf started here in 2016 as 3YO and 4YO Educator, having completed her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. In 2019, Jaf furthered her skills and completed her Diploma in Early Childhood Education. Jaf has strong links to the community and also with our kindergarten, and is excited to continue as our 4YO Koala Educator in 2023.

Operations Manager

Emma is joining us this year to help all of our teachers enjoy their lunch breaks on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Emma has worked in the early childhood industry for 15 years. Starting out in child care and have recently moved to Before and After School Care. 

Her passion is working with children, she loves what she does. 

Lynn began working in the office in 2022 after both her children graduated from our kinder and was a Committee member for many years. Lynn’s background is working in the not-for-profit sector specialising in education and is looking forward to supporting our staff, committee and kinder families in 2023 in the role of Operations Manager.
