OUR STAFF

Our teaching staff are committed to ensuring we deliver a quality educational program to your child in a safe and nurturing environment. All our teaching staff hold required teaching qualifications, as well as training in First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Management. We also employ a Book-Keeper/Office Administrator at the kinder.

Loc

Loc started at Watsonia North Preschool in 2010 as the 3yo Teacher and holds a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. Having been on Maternity leave for most of 2020, Loc returns to teaching in 2021 as the 3yo Teacher and co-teaching the 4yo group. She is also the Educational Leader at the Preschool and has furthered her skills recently to become a qualified Mentor.

 

 

Sophie

Sophie joined Watsonia North Preschool in 2017 as the 3YO Teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching, and since her time with us has grown and developed as a teacher, implementing many new elements into the learning environment. Sophie will continue on as the 4yo Teacher for 2021.

Sharon

Sharon joined us in 2011 and has vast experience and knowledge working with both the 3yo and 4yo groups. She holds a Certificate III in Children’s Services and a Certificate III in Inclusion Support. Sharon’s positivity and community spirit alongside her wealth of local knowledge makes her a valuable team member. Sharon is continuing as part of our 4YO team in 2021, and also as 3yo Educator during Laura's maternity leave.

Jaf

Jaf started here in 2016 as 3yo and 4yo Educator, having completed her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. In 2019, Jaf furthered her skills and completed her Diploma in Early Childhood Education. Jaf has strong links to the community and also with our kindergarten, and is excited to continue as our 4YO Co-Educator in 2021.

Christine

Christine began in 2013 as our Office Administrator and Book Keeper. Her children came through the kindergarten and she is known in the community. Christine will be available at the kinder in 2020 and has played a vital role in supporting the staff and Committee of Management in her work with us.

Laura

We welcomed Laura to our teaching team in 2019 as our 3yo Educator and she is currently on maternity leave. Laura holds a Masters of Teaching in Primary and Early Learning and comes from a background in Outdoor Education, teaching Gymbaroo, as well as experience as a Primary School Teacher. We look forward to Laura's return into the 3yo group in 2021.

Meg

Megan joined us in 2020 and has recently completed her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. She is currently teaching the 3YO group, as well as working as the teacher on a Friday in the 4YO group and in the educator role on some other days. We look forward to a wonderful year ahead with Meg.
